Eddie has always loved planting trees and have always admired the Olive Tree for its reverence all over the world. Watching Olive Trees uprooted as a result of conflict in multiple areas of the world, he just couldn't watch and do nothing so this is where Planting Hope's purpose was born, out of a desire to save the Olive Tree.

Eddie created Planting Hope to try and get others to join in his efforts to replant Olive Trees that in some cases are more than 100 years old, after watching the images of worldwide conflicts that target the destruction of Olive Groves. After seeing this, he has been trying to change the world ever since.
